Demo Unit & System Sizing
“Which filter do I need for my project?”
Frustrating (and most common) answer:
“It depends.”
Halldor seeks to remove the guesswork and zero in on the best solution.
TEST before you INVEST.
Customers must carefully select the appropriate filter size, considering screen area, screen type, and mesh size, to achieve or exceed project goals. An undersized system will struggle to keep up, while an oversized system is a waste of resources.
Although selecting and sizing a filter may seem straightforward, there are surprisingly many factors to consider.
A demo test allows us to determine the following…
Depth Filtration
Is depth filtration necessary for your application? If so, can we use a larger screen size and rely on the filter-aid effect from accumulated solids to meet project requirements?
Solids Consistency
What is the desired consistency of the solids for disposal or reuse?
Operational Pressure
What is the optimal operational pressure that allows for depth filtration without breaking up the solids and forcing them through the screen openings?
Operational Flow
What is the average flowrate (per screen area) achievable at optimal conditions?
Screen Washing
Is routine screen washing, with or without heat, required?
Screen Style
Which screen style, wedge wire or sintered metal, is best suited for the application?
Each project is unique. Instead of guessing, Halldor prefers to deploy a mobile G3P™ Solo unit to test and document the performance in your real-world application. This approach benefits both parties, resulting in a well-designed filtration system that eliminates guesswork.
